Project AcornMaking a Difference - One Child at a Time What Is Project Acorn? Project Acorn was founded in 1995 to help families in need send their 3 or 4-year old children to preschool. Studies have demonstrated that early childhood education affects everything in a child's life: intellectual development, self-confidence, and even future earning potential. It helps our children grow into responsible and fulfilled adults. Founded in 1995, Project Acorn recognizes the long-term impact that early childhood education has on the character of our community. Project Acorn is dedicated to seeding an enhanced educational beginning. We provide funding for children whose parents have a commitment to education, but need financial assistance to obtain a quality preschool program. We are working to make a difference - one child at a time
